Spring Break

Michelle and I went on a Spring Break getaway before Gavin comes around. We figured now is as good of time as any take a vacation. Emma stayed with Grandma and Pee-paw for the five days while we were gone. We left Saturday, April 5th for the airport and unfortunately hit a deer on the way in our Pilot. Luckily, we left early and were not far from Michelle's parents' house. Grandma and Pee-paw packed up Emma and drove separate to meet us so we could take one of their cars the rest of the way to the airport. What a great start to the trip! Everything else went extremely smooth the rest of the way. We stayed at a wonderful resort on Captiva Island in Florida (near Sanibel Island and Fort Myers). The resort was called the South Seas Island and Resort. I would recommend it to anyone because it was so nice and relaxing. We were excited to head home all refreshed and ready to see Emma (although we would have been happy to stay an extra couple of days). Unfortunately, our Pilot was still not ready and we had to wait a few more weeks to pick it up. All in all, a great trip, but $8,000 worth on damage on our car. Thank goodness for insurance though, only had to cough up $100 for the deductible!
